Blog 2: Why did you choose to study this career?
Hi everyone! I'm Matias and welcome to my blog 2.
In this ocassion I'm going to talk about my career, the options I had and my expectations. When I was a child I wanted to be a doctor, actually in those years my parents bought every week a newspaper which it had a bonus, if you buy the newspaper you get one part of a human body (like organs) and then if you keep doing that you can set up the whole body. I liked that because I could learn a lot. I also wanted to be a football player, that was my frustrated dream. Well, finally I decided to be a teacher (now I know how life can surprise us), I always had skills in maths but I didn't have the patience to teach it, like until 10th grade I was mean with my classmates when they asked me for help (I thought the things we were learning were easy, I didn't have empathy), but the last two years incredibly I had the patience I never had before and I was nice to them, and they actually understand what I teached them, so I felt I could really help people, that's the reason I chose this career.
Now that I'm stuyding to become a maths and physics teacher my experience doing it's been actually good, because I've been learning a lot and I met nice people. Obviously there are things I don't like about it like when I have one work-less week and the next week I have a lot to do, and also I don't like when I have to go out late from classes. In general, analyzing the good and bad things about it, I've been experiencing nice years. And finally, about the kind of job I would like to have, we all know it's really obvious that if I will be a teacher I'll work in a school, but some day I think I would like to work in a university (just for know how it's the dynamic there). But what I really want is a place where I can do different things, I don't wanna be like the typical teacher with the same activities and worksheets every year, I wanna be a different teacher, I wanna do another dynamics and create spaces where I can explain better the subjects and make the students lose the fear of knowing new stuff, everyone can learn anything, they just need to put the enough effort to make it possible. Thank you for reading!

When I was younger I also realized I had no patience when teaching, sadly this is still the case but it makes me respect more the job. I hope you realize your objective of being a different kind of teacher
